It’s approximately 20 minutes by car and 30 minutes by metro to Lisbon Portela Airport. Bairro Alto is surrounded by several neighboring areas, making it easily accessible on foot. To the east is Chiado, and to the north, Príncipe Real. It connects to Avenida da Liberdade via Calçada and the Elevador da Glória, a climb of 260 meters. To the south are Bica and Cais do Sodré, with São Bento lying to the west. These neighborhoods are all in close proximity. The square of Luís de Camões is a mere 430 meters away. Additionally, Bairro Alto is conveniently located near the Chiado metro station connected to all lisbon, situated just in front of the Hermes Lisbon store and 90 meters from Luís de Camões square. If you are coming from Baixa, the best route is to first go to Chiado, and then proceed to Bairro Alto.
