Porto Santo is a small, beautiful island near Madeira in the Atlantic Ocean, and it’s part of Portugal. It’s not as big as Madeira, being only about 11 kilometers (around 7 miles) long and 6 kilometers (about 4 miles) wide. So, it’s much smaller and you can easily travel around it.

One of the coolest things about Porto Santo is its long, sandy beach that stretches for almost 9 kilometers (about 5.5 miles). The island is famous for this golden sandy beach and its warm, sunny weather. It’s a bit drier and warmer than Madeira, making it a great place for beach lovers.

There aren’t as many people living on Porto Santo. Only about 5,000 people call it home, which makes it a quiet, peaceful place. The main town is also named Porto Santo, and it’s where most of the island’s activities and facilities are found.

Porto Santo is known for its relaxing atmosphere, beautiful beach, and clear blue waters. It’s a fantastic spot for a quiet holiday, swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the natural beauty of the ocean and sandy landscapes.

To travel from Madeira to Porto Santo, you have two main options: by air or by sea.
